Paying tribute to Sinatra and all the greats!
One of the hottest young talents working in Las Vegas today,
Ryan Baker started singing professionally in 2003, first at weddings and
corporate events at properties such as the Four Seasons, Bellagio, Caesar’s
Palace, Green Valley Ranch, Wynn, and the Red Rock Hotel & Resort, among
others. His performances at these events ranged from Frank Sinatra
“sound-alike” to impersonating the man himself.
After helping create and starring in a Rat Pack dinner show in Summerlin in 2004, as well as a contract engagement at the Artisan Hotel & Spa in 2005, Baker helped create a show called “Shades of Sinatra.” Based on a concept envisioned by Kelly Clinton, the show pays tribute to the life and music of Frank Sinatra, starring Baker, Carmine Mandia, Lisa Smith, and Larry Liso. The show has played all over Las Vegas at venues such as the Suncoast Hotel & Casino and has opened for the one and only Don Rickles twice, most recently in 2010 at the Orleans Hotel & Casino. The recipient of critical acclaim as well as awards, such as the Entertainment Consumers Exchange “Tribute Show of the Year” award in 2006, today “Shades of Sinatra” can be seen several times a week at the Wolf Theater in the Clarion Hotel & Casino, just off the Strip in Vegas.
In 2008, Baker joined the cast of Rick Michel’s “Drinkin’, Singin’, Swingin’,” playing the role of Frank Sinatra in a salute to the legendary Rat Pack, touring all over the US and Canada for the following three years. Also in 2008, Ryan portrayed Sinatra in David Cassidy’s production show, “The Rat Pack Is Back!” at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino, to rave reviews. Since early 2010, Baker has played both the Frank Sinatra and Joey Bishop parts at “Sandy Hackett’s Rat Pack Show”, first at the Sahara and now at the Riviera in Vegas. Baker also portrays the Chairman in solo shows of varying lengths for corporate events and private parties, and he has been featured as Sinatra at "Rat Pack Fridays" at Texas Station Hotel & Casino, in Vegas.
Additionally, Ryan has recorded dozens of different radio commercial jingles, mostly for sponsors of Clear Channel Communications affiliates, which currently play all over the country in markets from Los Angeles to New York. He is also currently recording an album, featuring his own takes on some of his favorite jazz standards. Besides paying tribute to and impersonating Sinatra, either solo or with a production show, Baker has also created shows celebrating the songs of Michael Buble and Harry Connick, Jr. Ryan is also an accomplished lounge singer, with a repertoire of hundreds of songs, ranging from Sinatra favorites to jazz standards written by the great American songwriters of the 20th century.
